What Are The Symptoms of A Vaginal Yeast Infection?
A vaginal yeast infection ( thrush) is easily recognised. The symptoms often associated with a vaginal yeast infection are: persistant itching and soreness and sometimes a burning pain during urination. Inspection shows characteristics of white patches, rather like soft cheese, with raw looking inflamed areas in between. There may be a white cheesy vaginal discharge which is odourless.
Vaginal Yeast Infections is easily transmitted to a sexual partner, and men, especially if uncirmucized, often develop white patches and inflammation on the glans of the penis.
This is called balanitis and there is constant discomfort, varying from mild to severe. Apart from involvment of these areas, yeast infection is uncommon in otherwise healthy people. It flourishes, however in people whose immune systems are in any way defective.
