Signs of A Yeast Infection

A yeast infection occurs when Candida, a type of yeast, grows out of control. The infection can appear anywhere on the body and causes a variety of symptoms. It affects women, men, children and babies. Athlete’s foot is also a form of yeast of infection. The most common type yeast infection: are vaginal yeast infections, oral yeast infections and penile yeast infections.

Oral Thrush:

Common yeast infection signs include:

• White or yellow spots, inside the cheeks of the mouth, the tongue and throat.

• Sometimes these spots are accompanied with a burning sensation both in the mouth and the throat.

Vaginal Yeast Infections :

Common yeast infection symptoms include:

• Persistent vaginal itching

• Thick Vaginal Discharge which is white or yellow ( looks like cottage cheese) and has a slight smell of yeast.

• Redness of the vulva and vagina

• Burning sensation during urination

• Pain during sexual intercourse
